Major upgrades to sidewalks announced in Hua Hin

The Prachuap Khiri Khan Highway District has announced upgrades to sidewalks, road shoulders, traffic islands, and connecting roads in Hua Hin, as part of an infrastructure development project aimed at improving access to local tourist attractions.

The announcement, made by Hua Hin Municipality on 16th October, outlines that the work will cover the westbound side of Highway 4, from the Mowanna pork shop on the corner of Soi 68 to just before the Nong Kae overpass.

According to the highway district, the project will focus on improving sections of Highway 4, identified as Section 0601, spanning from Huai Sai Tai to Wang Yao. The upgrades will extend from kilometre markers 216+800 to 221+200, exclusively on the westbound route within Hua Hin Subdistrict, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.

The project includes repairing and upgrading sidewalks, road shoulders, and connecting roads to enhance access for residents and tourists.

The work is part of plans to facilitate tourism and ensure safer and more accessible infrastructure for visitors and locals alike.

Construction is expected to continue until 23rd March 2025.
Authorities have asked the public for patience during the work and apologised for any inconvenience caused by the temporary disruptions.
