The Cha-am – Hua Hin Chefs’ Club held its first official meeting ahead of the Hua Hin Food Festival 2025, with organisers outlining plans for the event set to take place from 22 to 24 August at Baan Hua Don Beach in Khao Takiab.
The meeting, held on 5 August at The Kaset Hotel, brought together representatives from the Hua Hin Municipality Tourism Promotion Office, the Hua Hin – Cha-am Tourism Association, the Prachuap Khiri Khan tourism sector, and members of the chefs’ club. Deputy Mayor Bussaba Chokesuchart attended the meeting on behalf of the Mayor of Hua Hin.
The annual food festival is being held in collaboration between Hua Hin Municipality, the private sector, and the Cha-am – Hua Hin Chefs’ Club. This year’s event coincides with the 88th anniversary of Hua Hin’s founding as a municipality and will feature a range of culinary activities, entertainment, and a large-scale light and sound installation.

During the meeting, Chef Boonyuen Phoollap, President of the Chefs’ Club, gave the opening remarks before discussions moved to booth arrangements, event layout, and the festival’s grand opening dish.

Other key points from the meeting included preparations for the Hua Hin Seafood Modern Cuisine Competition, which will feature teams of chefs representing Thailand’s North, Central, South and Eastern regions.
Plans were also discussed for a series of fun culinary competitions including:
- A Som Tum (papaya salad) showdown

A designated Chef Lounge Zone will also be set up to welcome VIP guests, participating chefs from across the country, and sponsors.
The meeting closed with acknowledgements to all attendees and supporters for their contributions in making the upcoming food festival a success.
