Hua Hin targets key infrastructure improvements in 2026 budget
Hua Hin City Municipality has requested more than 400 million baht in funding for the 2026 fiscal year, with a significant portion aimed at upgrading the city’s water supply infrastructure.
On 14 August, Deputy Mayor Atichart Chaisri, along with officials from the Budget Preparation Unit, Planning and Budget Division, and Strategy and Budget Office, attended a budget allocation briefing for local administrative organisations. The meeting, which also addressed disaster and natural resource management funding, was held at the Parliament Building and joined online via Zoom from Hua Hin City Municipality’s offices.
Focus on water supply upgrades to meet growing demand
Mayor Nopporn Wutthikul, Municipal Clerk Jirawat Phramanee, and Strategy and Budget Office Director Kanokwaran Sriarun also participated in the session remotely from Samut Songkhram Province.
The municipality is seeking a general grant of 349,345,000 baht to fund public services in education, social affairs, and administration. In addition, it has applied for a specific grant of 56,612,500 baht for infrastructure works aimed at strengthening the local water supply system.
Plans include building a raw water pumping pontoon and installing pumps to transfer water from the Pran Buri Dam pumping station to the city’s water production plant, as well as constructing a 7.00 x 14.00 metre pumping pontoon in Hua Hin Subdistrict.
If approved, the total allocation for the municipality will be 405,957,500 baht.
