Hua Hin is preparing to host round 2 of the Thailand Jet Ski Championship 2026 from 28–31 May at Suan Son Pradipat Beach.
A meeting to prepare for the event was held on 18 May at Hua Hin City Municipality Office. It was chaired by Mr Jeerawat Pramanee, Permanent Secretary of Hua Hin City Municipality.
The competition, officially titled the TOYOTA – WGP#1 Waterjet Pro Tour Thailand 2026, will be held in Hua Hin under the name “Hua Hin Grand Prix 2026”.
Organisers said the event is intended to stimulate the local economy and strengthen Hua Hin’s position as a sports tourism destination.
The meeting was attended by Mr Kittichai Srithongchuay, Hua Hin District Clerk; Ms Worakan Thawon, Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Prachuap Khiri Khan Office; Mr Kitiphong Siriphetkasem, President of the Hua Hin-Cha-am Tourism Business Association; and Mr Wanchat Khaothamthong, representative of the Jet Ski Association of Thailand and venue manager for the competition.
Representatives from other relevant agencies also attended.
The Jet Ski Association of Thailand and WGP#1 are organising the competition in cooperation with Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
Admission to the event at Suan Son Pradipat Beach will be free throughout the four days.
Four-round national competition
The Thailand Jet Ski Championship 2026 is being held across four rounds nationwide.
The first round took place from 2–5 April at Bueng Nong Khai in Nong Khai province.
The second round will be held from 28–31 May at Suan Son Pradipat Beach in Hua Hin.
The third round is scheduled for 26–28 June, with the venue yet to be announced. Details for the fourth round, including the date and venue, are also expected to be announced later.
Free event at Suan Son Pradipat Beach
The Hua Hin round is expected to attract competitors, teams, visitors and jet-ski fans to the city during the final week of May.
Officials said the event forms part of efforts to promote sporting events as a driver of tourism and local economic activity.
