World famous British rock band, Coldplay, has announced a performance date at Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium as part of the A Head Full of Dreams Tour, named after their latest 2015 album release. Tickets went on sale from 16th December 2016 from ThaiTicketMajor, priced ar 2,500 THB. Since 1996, the band has gained international fame stardom as a postBritpop, alternative band selling more than eighty million records and winning a host of awards, including Brit Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, World Music
Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and seven Grammy Awards. This has been scheduled as an additional per their Asian tour. Previously the band officially announced it would only visit Singapore, the Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan during the tour. This update came after news that the concert tickets for Coldplay’s performance on April 1st in Singapore had sold out within 90 minutes. Up to 40,000 tickets have reportedly been sold so far. Coldplay last visited Thailand during the tour for their second album A Rush of Blood to the Head in July 2003.
