- Phetchaburi is preparing to welcome visitors to the “East Meets West at Phetchaburi” International Food Festival, which will bring together chefs from UNESCO Creative Cities of Gastronomy across seven cities and five countries.
At a press conference on Saturday, Deputy Governor Wanpen Mangsri, speaking on behalf of the provincial governor, confirmed the event will run from 21–22 August at Phra Nakhon Khiri Memorial Park and Phetchaburi Rajabhat University. She said the festival is designed to highlight Phetchaburi’s distinctive ingredients while strengthening international cooperation and supporting the province’s creative economy.

The festival will feature chefs from San Antonio (United States), Iloilo (Philippines), Shunde (China), Macau (China), Bergamo (Italy), Phuket (Thailand), and Phetchaburi itself. They will prepare special dishes combining local produce, such as palm sugar, limes, and sea salt, with international flavours.
Festival highlights include live cooking demonstrations by visiting chefs, a youth chef competition with eight teams from across Thailand, and a food zone with more than 30 stalls serving local and international dishes. Visitors can also take part in a “Signature Family Recipe” contest and attend seminars aimed at sharing culinary knowledge among creative cities worldwide.
The “East Meets West at Phetchaburi” International Food Festival is open to the public and admission is free.
