The Hua Hin Jazz Festival is set to return to the beach in front of the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin on 28 and 29 November, organisers have confirmed.
The announcement marks a return to what many consider the festival’s original and most iconic location, with jazz performances once again taking place on the sands of Hua Hin beach.
First held in 2001, the Hua Hin Jazz Festival has become one of the city’s most well-known music and social events.
However, in recent years, changes in format and venue have seen the festival take on different forms.
In 2022, the event was held on Suan Son Pradipat Beach, while earlier this year, a version of the festival took place from 1 to 4 May, with performances spread across various venues throughout the city.
The last time the jazz festival was held on Hua Hin beach was in 2020.
This year’s edition will feature two days of live music across two stages, with free entry. The announcement was made via the official Hua Hin Jazz Festival Facebook page on 17 June, which invited audiences to “jazz it up by the sea” and welcomed fans back to the “Jazzociety”, describing it as a warm and friendly community of jazz lovers.
The return of the festival to the beach is likely to be welcomed by both locals and visitors, with many seeing the event as synonymous with Hua Hin’s identity.
While previous editions have faced some logistical and organisational challenges, the upcoming event signals a return to form for the long-standing music festival.
Further details, including the full line-up of performers and event schedule, are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
