Hua Hin is set to host one of the country’s largest Pride Month celebrations this weekend with the LGBTQ+ Festival Thailand taking place on Sunday, 8 June.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in cooperation with local government agencies and the private sector, will be held at Market Village Hua Hin.
The festival is scheduled to begin with a colourful rainbow parade starting at the Amari Hotel and making its way along the beach road to the main event site. The parade will feature participants from LGBTQ+ communities, Miss Thailand titleholders, tourists, and local organisations.
Throughout the day, attendees can take part in a variety of activities, including the Miss Diamond Thailand 2025 pageant for transgender women, an EDM music festival, wellness sessions, and a panel discussion titled Voices for Equality, where members of the LGBTQ+ community will share personal experiences relating to acceptance and inclusion.
There will also be a local food and beverage zone showcasing products from across the region.
Organisers say the event aims to promote equality, celebrate diversity, and boost Hua Hin’s reputation as a safe and inclusive destination for LGBTQ+ travellers. The festival is expected to draw both local and international visitors and generate income for nearby businesses including hotels, restaurants, and shops.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports said it hopes to see the festival become an annual event held every June, helping to position Hua Hin as a leading LGBTQ+ destination in Thailand.
