Prachuap kayaking for eternal love was the focus of Valentine’s Day celebrations on 14 February, as 14 couples took part in a nature-based activity organised by Prachuap Town Municipality.
The event was held at the 80th Anniversary Commemoration Park at Wat Thammikaram Worawihan in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan district. Mr Kamol Kaewthet, Mayor of Prachuap Town Municipality, joined members of the municipal executive team, the Director of the Tourism and Sports Division and staff in leading the “Kayaking for Eternal Love” activity.
Couples paddled together through a mangrove forest tunnel, stopping to take photographs and enjoy the coastal scenery. As part of the programme, participants planted symbolic saplings, including golden mangrove trees, to mark the occasion. The gesture was intended to reflect hopes that their relationships will grow alongside the development of Prachuap.

The Prachuap kayaking for eternal love activity formed part of a wider Valentine’s Day programme aimed at strengthening relationships while promoting nature-based tourism in the town. Souvenirs were presented to each couple, and group photographs were taken to mark the day.
Mr Kamol said the municipality had also arranged evening tourism promotion events under the concept “Love is a Journey – Begin at Prachuap.” Saranchitthi Bridge was decorated as a romantic landmark along Prachuap Bay to enhance the town’s tourism image during the Valentine’s period.
The evening programme featured live love-song performances under the theme “Melodies of Love,” a free photo booth and decorative lighting along the bridge area. A large number of residents and visitors attended the event, reinforcing Prachuap’s reputation as the “City of Three Bays.”
The municipality said the combination of daytime outdoor activities and evening entertainment was designed to create memorable experiences for couples while highlighting local landmarks and the natural environment.
