A 59-year-old man, Mr. Thanya, was stabbed to death, and the suspect fled the scene by car.

Pol. Col. Paitoon Promkian and his investigative team launched an immediate inquiry, reviewing CCTV footage and gathering evidence. Their efforts led to the identification of the suspect, Mr. Wichitchai (surname withheld), a 47-year-old truck driver from Buriram Province working for a well-known logistics company.

An arrest warrant was issued by the Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Court on 12 January 2025, charging Mr. Wichitchai with intentional homicide. He was later apprehended in Tak Province while making a delivery. Authorities recovered the weapon used in the crime and transferred him to Mueang Prachuap Police Station for legal proceedings.
