A public hearing was held on Wednesday, April 2, at the Hua Hin City Municipality Office to discuss a proposed rooftop solar power generation system with a total installed capacity of 2.13 megawatts.

The project is being developed by Home Product Center Public Company Limited (HomePro) and aims to generate electricity for use in the company’s operations. The goal is to reduce the amount of electricity purchased from the Provincial Electricity Authority.

Mr. Jirawat Phramanee, Permanent Secretary of Hua Hin City Municipality and acting Mayor of Hua Hin, presided over the meeting, which took place in the Chomsin Room at the municipality office.

Mr. Paitoon Tangkaothong, a representative from HomePro, was present along with members of the company’s staff. A detailed overview of the project and its potential impacts was provided by Mr. Nakrob Theppabandal, Environmental Manager at Greensign Envi Co., Ltd.

The hearing was attended by residents, local community members, and representatives from relevant government agencies. The event provided an opportunity for stakeholders to learn more about the project and raise any questions or concerns.

According to organisers, the project aligns with the process for preparing a Code of Practice report, which involves assessing the environmental, safety, and community impacts of the installation.
