Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin donates anaesthesia technology to Hua Hin Hospital

The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin has donated new anaesthesia technology to Hua Hin Hospital, strengthening the hospital’s capacity to carry out complex and time-critical medical procedures as demand for advanced care continues to rise.

The handover ceremony took place on 27 December 2025 and was jointly presided over by Nopporn Wutthikul, Mayor of Hua Hin City Municipality, and P. Brian Anderson, President of the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin. Representatives from the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin, partner organisations and hospital staff attended the ceremony, which was held in a conference room on the 10th floor of the hospital.

The donated equipment, valued at 2.55 million baht, is intended for use in the hospital’s interventional neuroradiology, cardiac catheterisation and thrombectomy units. These departments handle an increasing number of high-risk cases, including strokes, cardiac emergencies and other neurological conditions that require precise and closely monitored anaesthetic management.

Hospital officials formally received the equipment on behalf of the medical teams who will use it in daily clinical practice. According to those involved in the project, the new anaesthesia technology is expected to improve patient safety and support doctors and nurses during procedures where timing, accuracy and stability are critical.

Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin’s healthcare support in Hua Hin

Funding for the anaesthesia technology was secured through a joint humanitarian initiative involving several Rotary clubs, foundations and individual donors. The Thieler Family provided the largest contribution at 1 million baht, followed by 918,000 baht from the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin. Additional funding was contributed by the Claus Cramer Foundation, the Rotary Club of Nakhon Pathom, the Rotary Club of Bangkok South and other supporters.

Rotary representatives said collaboration between clubs and partner organisations was essential in raising sufficient funds and ensuring the equipment met the hospital’s clinical requirements. They added that the donation reflects a shared commitment to supporting public healthcare services in Hua Hin as the local population grows and the demand for specialised treatment increases.

The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin has a long-standing relationship with Hua Hin Hospital and has supported a number of healthcare initiatives in recent years. Previously, the club donated a fully equipped Rotary ambulance to help strengthen emergency response services in the area.

More recently, the club donated 13 CPR training manikins to support community-based life-saving education programmes delivered in cooperation with the hospital.
