The Hua Hin Food Festival 2025 drew thousands of visitors over the weekend, marking the town’s largest culinary event to date and coinciding with the 88th anniversary of Hua Hin Municipality.

Held from 22 to 24 August at Hua Don Beach in Khao Takiab, the three-night festival featured over 100 food booths, live music, hot air balloon rides, and nightly fireworks. Visitors enjoyed dishes from local eateries alongside signature plates prepared by chefs from some of Hua Hin’s five-star hotels.

The opening ceremony on Friday evening was led by Deputy Mayor Phailin Kongphan, along with fellow deputy mayors and council members. Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan Dr. Sitthichai Sawaetsan and Hua Hin District Chief Prasut Hombantheng also joined as guests of honour.

Festival boosts tourism during low season

A highlight of the opening night was the preparation of an 88-kilogram stir-fried shrimp with salt and chilli, cooked simultaneously in 88 woks by chefs from the Cha-am–Hua Hin Chefs Club to symbolise the municipality’s milestone anniversary. Portions of the dish were served free of charge to attendees.

Throughout the weekend, the festival offered a variety of attractions, including a musical fountain show, workshops, cooking competitions, and mini concerts featuring Singto Numchok, The Richman Toy, and Aof Pongsak.

Organisers said the event was designed to stimulate tourism in Hua Hin during the third quarter and to showcase the city as a leading destination for food lovers.
