Baan Khun Por Hua Hin: the everyday favourite for food and live music

Baan Khun Por is one of Hua Hin’s most popular night-time food courts, located on Soi 88 just a short distance from the town’s historic train station. Open daily from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m., it draws both locals and visitors who come for its lively yet relaxed atmosphere and wide range of food options.

Unlike traditional more traditional night markets in Hua Hin, Baan Khun Por is designed around a central seating area that can accommodate up to 1,000 diners. Surrounding this space are close to 100 stalls offering everything from Thai favourites such as grilled seafood and moo ka ta to international dishes including Indian curries, Japanese sushi, Korean fried chicken, Italian pizzas, and Mexican-inspired meals. Prices are affordable, and the market is well known for its exclusive deal with Chang beer, served here colder and cheaper than anywhere else in town.

Live music and entertainment every night

Food is not the only reason for the venue’s popularity. A large stage provides live entertainment every evening, featuring local rock and pop bands during the week and nationally recognised performers on weekends and holidays. The nightly music creates a festival-like atmosphere where families, groups of friends, and tourists can enjoy dinner with a show. The owner, Khun Por, is also a familiar presence, often mingling with guests and helping to maintain the welcoming environment.

For those who want to stay close to the market, the adjoining Baan Khun Por Hotel offers spacious rooms and facilities such as a swimming pool, gym, and sauna. However, given the bustling nightlife, it may not be the ideal choice for light sleepers.

With its combination of affordable dining, live music, and a friendly atmosphere, Baan Khun Por has become a well-established landmark in Hua Hin and remains one of the city’s most popular destinations after dark.
