Khao Hin Lek Fai Viewpoint is one of the best places to see Hua Hin from above, offering wide-ranging views of the city, coastline and surrounding areas.
Known locally as Khao Radar (Radar Hill), the viewpoint is located in the Hin Lek Fai subdistrict and stands 162 metres above sea level.
There are six designated viewpoints on the hill, each offering a different perspective of Hua Hin. Viewpoint 4, which looks south towards Khao Takiab, and Viewpoint 5, which faces north towards Cha Am, are the most popular. Both have easy access and purpose-built viewing platforms, making them ideal spots to watch the sunrise or take in a 180-degree sweep of the coastline and city.
Viewpoint 3, positioned directly above the Royal Hua Hin Golf Course, overlooks the city centre and the ocean. This spot features a basic railing but also has a large rock ledge for those comfortable with heights. While it offers one of the more adventurous photo opportunities, visitors should exercise caution.

Visitors can drive all the way to the top of the hill, where a car park and signage guide the way to the various viewpoints. The summit area is also home to a statue of King Rama VII, commemorating his role in Hua Hin’s development during his reign.
Beyond sightseeing, Khao Hin Lek Fai is also popular among locals and expats for outdoor activities. Many people use the area for walking, jogging or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings and fresh air.
Macaques are often seen in the area. While they typically keep to themselves, visitors are advised not to bring food, not to feed the monkeys, and to be cautious around parked vehicles, as the animals have been known to cause damage. Some prefer to park at the base of the hill—opposite a small Muay Thai gym—and walk up to avoid any issues.
