The Cha-am squid festival returns this Saturday, 12 September, bringing eight days of seafood, squid fishing and live music to Cha-am Beach Viewpoint in Phetchaburi.
Now in its 25th year, the Cha-am Shellfish Eating and Squid Fishing Festival runs until 19 September 2026. It is one of the town’s biggest annual events, with food stalls, local products and concerts along the beachfront.
Visitors can try squid fishing at sea from 7pm to midnight, with jet skis taking participants out to squid boats offshore. Tickets for the squid-fishing experience cost 100 baht for adults and 50 baht for children.
What to expect at the Cha-am squid festival
On shore, restaurants from Phetchaburi and neighbouring provinces will serve seafood and other dishes. Visitors can also browse local goods and community-made products from the One Tambon One Product (OTOP) programme.
Live music is scheduled every evening, with the following line-up:
- 12 September: Choo Choo
- 13 September: FC BAND
- 14 September: Chaem Chaemram
- 15 September: Mang Mum
- 16 September: Saithong ST BAND
- 17 September: Saen Naga
- 18 September: Sai, the long-haired singer
- 19 September: Mai Lueay Band
The festival takes place at Cha-am Beach Viewpoint, with seafood, squid fishing and evening entertainment throughout the eight-day event.
