EZY Airlines operated its inaugural Hua Hin–U-Tapao flight on Wednesday (30 September), ahead of scheduled services beginning on 23 October.
The flight used a Cessna Caravan C208B aircraft with approximately 10 passenger seats. It departed Hua Hin Airport at 8.49am and arrived at U-Tapao at 9.29am.
Scheduled flights will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, with promotional fares starting at 2,900 baht. Tickets will go on sale on 10 October.
Passengers will be able to book through counters at Hua Hin and U-Tapao airports, the airline’s website at https://ezyairlines.com and online travel booking platforms.
Tourism representatives join Hua Hin–U-Tapao launch
Passengers on the inaugural flight included Hua Hin Deputy Mayor Sanraphop Ungrasmi; Kittipong Siripetchkasem, President of the Hua Hin–Cha-am Tourism Business Association; Wasana Srikanjana, the association’s honorary adviser; and members of the media.
They travelled to U-Tapao to attend the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Chonburi Deputy Governor Chaiyaporn Phaephiromrat. Captain Surapong Chaophetphairot, Head of Administration at U-Tapao Airport Authority, delivered the welcome address.
Other attendees included Saksakul Suphakritanan, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Chanthaburi Office, and Sanyaphut Koetbandit, President of the Association of Domestic Travel.
Also present were Witthawat Meksut, President of the Thai Travel Operators Association, and Nanthaphon Khaimuk, President of the Thai Ecotourism and Adventure Travel Association.
They were joined by Suthep Arom, President of the Association for the Promotion of Thai Tourism Businesses, and Suphamit Kitchaphiphat, President of the Chiang Mai Tourism Business Association.
EZY Airlines operates both scheduled and charter services. Alongside its Hua Hin–U-Tapao flights, the airline’s network includes U-Tapao–Surat Thani, with further routes under development.
The airline said its expansion aimed to make travel between tourism destinations more convenient and encourage visitors to explore areas beyond the main cities, supporting local hotels, restaurants and other tourism businesses.
