Jungle Aid has received a US$5,000 grant from the Hard Rock Heals Foundation to support its healthcare, welfare and education work in communities in and around Hua Hin.

Hard Rock Cafe Hua Hin co-owner Frank Colvyn presented the cheque to Jungle Aid founder Emma Neve on Thursday, 10 September, after the venue successfully nominated the charity for funding.

“Being the new kid on the block, we said we’re going to do the right thing,” Frank said, explaining the decision to put Jungle Aid forward.

The donation is part of the 2026 grant programme run by the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, the charitable arm of Hard Rock International. This year, the programme is distributing US$255,000 to 51 local non-profit organisations across 18 countries.

Jungle Aid supports healthcare and education

Accepting the cheque, Emma said Jungle Aid is run entirely by volunteers. It supports rural communities and vulnerable people, including people with disabilities and those recovering from accidents.

“Nobody gets paid. We get paid in love and reward for doing what we do,” Emma said.

The charity provides medical care, family planning, health education, food and clothing, alongside a growing education sponsorship programme.

Emma said Jungle Aid now supports 120 students at high school, college and university. When the charity began its work 17 years ago, many children in the communities it supported were working in fields instead of attending school, she said.

“We’re incredibly proud, but we can only do it because of people like you. So, thank you so much,” Emma said.
