Hua Hin Film Club launches with first event screening of Only God Forgives in the presence of lead actor Vithaya Pansringarm
Movie lovers in Hua Hin have a new place to come together with the launch of the Hua Hin Film Club, a new cultural initiative bringing carefully selected films to local audiences alongside discussions, special events and opportunities to meet actors, filmmakers and others involved in the movies being screened.
The club’s initial programme will feature a curated selection of films, member gatherings, post-screening discussions and special events designed to connect residents, visitors, filmmakers and film enthusiasts.
With an emphasis on quality programming and an inclusive atmosphere, the Hua Hin Film Club aims to become a regular meeting point for people who value cinema as both an art form and a shared experience.
HHFC will host monthly events at different locations across Hua Hin, bringing film screenings and cultural gatherings to a variety of community venues.
“We are delighted to launch the Hua Hin Film Club as a new space for discovery, dialogue and community,” said Club Chair Dirk De Cuyper.
“Our goal is to present films that inspire, entertain and open conversations, while creating a warm and engaging environment for everyone who loves cinema. We will also support local filmmakers to join the club and show their work.”
“We want the Hua Hin Film Club to be more than a place to watch films. It should be a welcoming cultural space where people can connect, exchange ideas and share their appreciation of cinema,” said Natsima ‘Deer’ Kunajarasdech, Founding Committee Member and Director of Communications.
“Through thoughtfully selected screenings and engaging events, we hope to enrich Hua Hin’s cultural life while creating opportunities for local filmmakers and diverse voices to be seen and celebrated,” said Naphat Tangsanga, Founding Committee Member and Programme Director.
“Hua Hin has a vibrant and growing cultural life, and the Film Club adds an important new dimension to that landscape,” said Vithaya Pansringarm, Founding Committee Member and Film Adviser.
“By bringing carefully selected films and thoughtful programming to local audiences, the club can help strengthen Hua Hin’s creative community and broaden access to international and independent cinema.”
