Water jousting returns to Hua Hin Racer Marina this Saturday, giving residents the chance to try an unusual activity as part of the Why Hua Hin community event series.

The event will take place on Saturday, 29 August at Racer Marina in Pranburi, combining a morning run or hike with water jousting, boat demonstrations and motorcycle test rides.

Activities begin at 7am, with participants able to choose between a 9–10km run or a 4km hike through the surrounding area. Participation in the run and hike is free.

After returning to Racer Marina, participants can have coffee and breakfast before the water jousting begins at 10am.

For those unfamiliar with water jousting, the concept is straightforward. Two competitors stand on separate boats carrying padded lances and attempt to knock each other into the water while remaining on their own boat.

Participants interested in giving it a try are advised to bring a change of clothes.

The day will also include free Jonny Boat test rides, fishing and kayak boats on display, and Honda and Cub House motorcycles and accessories. Free motorcycle test rides will be available during the event.

The event is the latest in the Why Hua Hin community event series, which is highlighting different activities, businesses and experiences across Hua Hin and the surrounding area.

The programme is being organised in the run-up to Why Hua Hin? The Hua Hin Expo, which will take place at BluPort Hua Hin on 14 and 15 November.

The expo will showcase local businesses, services, activities and organisations, with a focus on what makes Hua Hin and the surrounding region a place to visit, live, work, retire and invest.

Advance registration is required for Saturday’s event.
